The Rippin' Reptiles 4-H Club is a unique club open to Central Oregon kids grades 4 through 12 who have reptiles. The club meets about once a month, and most events are field trips to visit various reptile experts and reptile-related events within the community. Some past events include: visiting hobbyist reptile keepers, a reptile rescue, a museum, a snake breeder, a reptile expo, displaying their animals at the annual 4-H small animal show and spending the night at the local reptile store. The club also participates in at least one community service event per year, and the kids have the opportunity to enter their project reptiles in the Deschutes County Fair each summer.
